Each month we thank an individual, business and /or organization who supports our efforts. This month we would like to extend an extra thank you to Spoonful’s, a food recovery and distribution rescue mission.
Spoonfuls, formally known as “Lovin’ Spoonfuls” focuses to educate, advocate, and work to address the environmental, health and economic impact that wasted food has on people and the planet. Each week, our calendar permitting, Spoonful’s delivers over 200 pounds of food. We then separate and distribute according to the number of families that have registered and confirmed their weekly pick up. The Spoonful’s team always arrive with a smile and helps to support the needs of our families with specific foods they can collect from various, partnering locations. In 2023, The Milford Youth Center, together with Spoonful’s provided 3,682 pounds of food. We would like to thank you for your continuous efforts in accessing and distributing food that would otherwise go to waste.
