From September 2025 to present, we have had the help of over 119 volunteers. With over 240 hours, the Milford Youth Center has been able to successfully accomplish some of the following: host a fundraiser with 50 raffle items, accomplish our fourth annual golf fundraiser, with the dedication of the MYC Golf Committee volunteers, provide a Thanksgiving meal that fed over 125 children, conduct a Holiday Gift collection that helped over 250 children and their families, run countless after school programs including Steam, fitness and nutrition programs, sewing, fishing, gardening, arts and crafts, and many more. We would also like to thank our Youth Commission, Jonathan
Capece, Darlene and John Dudlude, Stacy Darling, Gail Jussuame, Christine Crean, Martin Montoya, Dale Michaud, Jason Vaz, Brendan Rickert, Chuck Calagione and Christina Wiech for your time and dedication to the Center. Finally, we have also been able to provide multiple food access programs for our members and community!

This year we had many returning volunteers and the pleasure of meeting new volunteers. The Milford Youth Center values, respects and admires our volunteers. The following is a list of volunteers who have run a specific program or helped in the after-school program. We’d like to thank Phyllis Foley, Earl Wilson, Judy Tusino, Frances Stone, Gail Jussuame, Patsy Timmons, Dr. Gilmore, Chrissy Ferrucci, John and
Darlene Dulude, Dorothy Burely, Jim Brevigleiri, Brian Bell, William Farrell, Pamela Hunter, Pamela Goldman, Mike Gillis, Vicki Parabicoli, Patricia Lee, Kristin Pliakas, Teddi Webber, Val Tessicini, Alison Stienstra, Lauren Woodbury, Meagan Butler, Catie Delaney, Lucia Miller, Vinay Mannam, Michelle Morais, Ron Auger, Aaron Anniballi, Jose Abrantes, Rebecca Saber, Emily Gay, and everyone or any business that helped, or donated during our Thanksgiving, Halloween and Fundraising events.
The Milford Youth Center would not have the opportunity to do all these things without the help of our volunteers. To put it into perspective, the hours volunteered are equivalent to approximately $8,673.60 in staffing expenses! This estimated value was calculated by the Independent Sector and their current estimated national value of each volunteer hour. Generosity, trust, companionship, learning, friendships, are all things that are earned not by the dollar but by the lives that our volunteers touch daily here at the Youth Center. We welcome you; we appreciate you, and we
encourage you to continue to make a difference in the lives of children, but also in the lives of the Youth Center staff. Without you, we would not be able to achieve all the things we have and plan to do in the future. We will see you in the fall!
