The Milford Youth Center (MYC) was selected to receive a $1,000 grant by BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. (NYSE: BJ) as part of the company’s team member giving campaign. Funding through BJ’s Charitable Foundation will support our free after school programming for 10 months of the academic school calendar!
The MYC Director, Jen Ward, said “we are so grateful for this generous award from the BJ’s Charitable Foundation. We would also like to thank Sabrina Reynoso Baez, former MYC member and staff, who nominated the Center for this award. Sabrina, who now has two kids of her own, grew up coming to the Center and took this opportunity to help give back! It is due to businesses and individuals like BJ’s Charitable Foundation and Sbrina, that we can continue to offer free after-school programming, an affordable summer camp, and provide a safe and fun environment for the youth of Milford.”
BJ’s Wholesale Club announced grants to 136 community organizations in 19 states and Washington, D.C., that were nominated by its team members. Recipients were chosen for their local impact in areas of hunger relief, education and health and wellness.
