What an amazing way to end our month-long March Madness Tourney! 80 registered After-School members participated in this month-long tournament!
For the first time in MYC history, Victor V., as Captain of this year’s Oregon team (lime green), took the Championship for the second time in two years. Victor V. and his team for this year, Colin P., Michael R., Logan M. and Jessel M., took 1st place over the Marquette, (tan) team. The Marquette team, including Captain Chris C., Evan C., Alex R., Alexis P. and Justin P. took second place! Congratulations to you all!
We invited all participants to come back to watch the championship game and to participate in a 3-point contest (ages 8-12 & 13-18)! Congrats to Avian, Colton and Adam for winning the younger group’s contest! Congrats to Cam, Judah and Kerollos for winning the older group’s contest! Finally, thank you to all our amazing volunteers and staff who helped this event be such a success all month long! Thank you for your help, Gail, Jim, Earl, Aaron, Antoniyo and Jay!
The Staff vs. MVP Kids games were played on Wednesday, 3/25! The kids won the first game, 21-10 and the staff won the second game, 17-14! It was so much fun to see the kids and staff have this friendly competition.
Finally, thank you to Milford TV for capturing special moments of the championship game and the 3-point contest! They were also able to use the time to train and work with some MYC members, Charli B., Ariah C. and Ziairrah C.
