Monthly Gratification Post: Thank you, James Brevigleiri!

Each month, we thank an individual, business and/or organization who supports our efforts. This month we would like to recognize our volunteer, Jim.

Jim has been a dedicated volunteer at the Milford Youth Center since 2020. Each week, he generously commits two days of his time—up to three hours per day—to support our After-School programs. Whether he is helping in the kitchen or assisting staff in supervising youth in the gym, Jim’s presence has become a familiar and welcoming part of daily life at the Center.

Over the years, Jim has contributed more than 200 volunteer hours. In terms of operational value, his time has saved the Center approximately $6,958—but no dollar amount could ever fully capture the appreciation we feel for his time, dedication and commitment.

Jim embodies the spirit of a quote by Elizabeth Andrew: “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” That sentiment perfectly describes Jim. From building odds and ends around the facility to supporting our Cooking, Nutrition, and March Madness programs, he is always willing to lend a hand wherever it is needed.

Jim is also a key part of our annual Thanksgiving event and generously donates pies through the North Attleboro Elks Club. Despite all he does, Jim prefers to remain the quiet presence in the background. Yet whether he appears in front and center in a photo or is simply caught in action behind the scenes, his impact is always unmistakable.

Jim is a familiar face to both youth and staff—reliable, trustworthy and truly an irreplaceable member of the MYC family.

Thank you, Jim, for choosing the Milford Youth Center as your volunteer destination. With so many ways you could spend your valuable time, we are honored that you continue to share it with us.
