The MYC March Madness event is a wonderful chance for the After-School youth members to get active, stay collaborative and get involved in fun competitions. This will be a 3-week long, double elimination, 3v3 tournament! All the youth participants will receive a T-shirt, along with trophies and medals, being awarded at the end of the tournament to second and first place participants!
There will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, March 2, at 3:30 to discuss dates, times, rules and draft teams!
Games will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30 during our after-school program. The following are the game dates; 3/4, 3/9, 3/11, 3/16, and the final championship game date will be Wednesday, 3/18 at 3:30pm.
Immediately following the Championship game, we will have a 3-Point contest for those who participated in the March Madness program and choose to compete in the 3 Point contest. It will be divided into 2 age groups, and the winners will receive a trophy!
Throughout the March Madness games, staff and volunteers will be watching for players who show sportsmanship, leadership and guidance to those who may not be as familiar with the game, or offer friendly advice while encouraging teammates. Together, staff and volunteers will choose a “VIP” team who will play against staff on Wednesday, 3/25/26, in our 3rd Annual Staff vs. VIP at 3:30pm.
We are also looking for volunteers to referee and keep scores during our tournament. Games will be played twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. All participants are welcome to participate in a three-point contest that day!
