MYC Awarded $100K Contract to Support Youth Employment!

It is so awesome to see the YouthWorks program up and running for the fifth year in a row! The Youth Center received a $103,698.00 contract from the State to run an income-eligible employment program. This program is supported by the Commonwealth Corporation under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts YouthWorks Program and MassHire Central Career Center. Through this program, the Center is able to employee up to 25 youth employees over the summer and full-year program! Youth employees will be employed at the following worksites: Milford Youth Center, Nutriforia Nutrition, Parks Department, Milford Town Library, We All Hoop, Bob’s Marina Service, and Sweet Inspirations! This grant allows for the Youth Center to help facilitate and support additional help at each location at no cost to their individual departments and/or businesses.

Once again, we would like to thank the multiple organizations, listed above, for this opportunity. We would also like to give a HUGE shoutout to our team who have worked so hard to get this program up and running and successful: Sam Bonvino, Maddy Bonvino, Josh Connolly, Emily Stienstra, Joanna Abrantes and Jen Ward! We would also like to thank the Town Finance Department and Benefits Department! Finally, thank you to Ron Auger for conducting CPR and first aid lessons!
