Monthly Thank You’s: June 2025 

The Youth Center would like to extend a very appreciative thank you to the following list who donated items and/or their time in June to the Center:

  • Rail Trail Flatbread Co. for choosing the Center for their “Father’s Day Flatbreads for a Cause” fundraiser to help the Center replace the basement turf which will benefit the MYC programs, Milford Baseball and Milford Softball and any other rental that may require the use of the basement! Thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored and/or attended the brunch! We will be sharing the final amount raised in our August newsletter!
  • Ray Auger and Raydio for choosing the MYC for as the recipients of “Fuel Up Fridays.” Each week, Raydio and Honey Dew team up to deliver breakfast and good vibes to a deserving local business or organization. He surprised us on a hectic Friday with much needed coffee and donuts for the whole staff;
  • Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC for donating $1,000.00 to support the Milford Youth Center;
  • Mary DiAntonio for making a $150 donation on behalf of a wedding she attended (bride and groom requested in lieu of gifts to make a donation to a charity in their name);
  • Sandra Baldi for donating $50 and showing her kindness, encouragement and support for everything that we do for the community;
  • UMass Memorial Health – Milford Regional Medical Center for collaborating on our wellness and fitness programming;
  • Wesco for donating misc items including towels, Gatorade water bottles, sports balls, socks and a racquetball net;
  • Coffee Haven for donating left over treats to the Center and to John Dormont for dropping them off;
  • Gina Tomaso for donating misc. snacks;
  • The Milford Cultural Council for inviting the Center to participate in the Town Celebration of the newly renovated Town Park;
  • Doubletree by Hilton Boston/Milford for hosting a supply drive for our summer camp and for the additional monetary donation;
  • Spoonful’s for saving food in our local communities and providing it to the Center for our families to have weekend food bags; from October through May, with Spoonfuls, over 29 weeks, we helped salvage and distribute 5,915 pounds of food to our MYC families;
  • YouthWorks for the opportunity to employee youth during their full-year program;
  • Seven Hills Foundation for helping pack our weekend food bags for our families; the volunteers have committed to over 30 hours of their time from October through May! In that time, they sorted and packed the food from Spoonfuls;
  • Milford Food Service Program, CACFP and the Hockomock YMCA for providing snacks and dinners to our after school members; the following is to help put into perspective the serving and dollar amount for the 10 months the Milford children are in school. At the free MYC after-school program, we served 4,084 free snacks, valuing at $3,471.40 and 4,455 free dinners valuing at $17,820.00;
  • Jen of Infinite Pawz-ibilities for running a program with the after-school program and Cora, our social comfort dog;
  • Volunteers/Outside Services:  James Brevigleiri for volunteering in the kitchen and gym; Dr. Gilmore for running the Fishing program, Pam Hunter, Judy Tusino and Bill Farrell for packing lunches for the after-school program, Earl for helping at the End of the Year Party and for all our Board Members for meeting monthly to help oversee this amazing asset to the community!
