Each month we thank an individual, business and/or organization who supports our efforts. This month we would like to thank all the Town Hall/Departments!
We choose the Town Hall/Departments as this month’s gratification post because we understand that there is so much that we could not accomplish on a daily and weekly basis without the assistance of our fellow town departments!
It would be hard to explain everything we work on collaboratively, but to give some examples:
We work with the Town Treasurers and Accountants office weekly for everything from payroll, bills, deposits and yearly to help with us with our budgets. This year they helped us tremendously with purchasing our new van! We also need to thank the Town Administrator’s and Town Legal Office for their help with procurement, contracts and Town Meeting planning as well!
We work daily with the facilities department on maintaining our beautiful space, building projects and/or picking up donated items!- We work with the Parks Department to plan for our annual use of Fino Pool, and we couldn’t survive winters without the help of the Highway Department!
- We work with the Police and Fire Departments to help us with events, whether we need a detail or our Haunted Maze to be inspected! We also run Fire Drills quarterly and have the police help us with trainings annually!
We collaborate with the Town Library and Milford Public Schools on programs during the after school and summer program! We partner year-round with the Milford Public Schools Food Service Department/YMCA to provide free, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack snacks!
We work with the Senior Center on intergenerational
programs and to promote our morning senior walking program!- We work with the Board of Health on our summer camp license and permits (also Building Inspection/Engineering) for our kitchen and food program!
- We work with the Town Clerk Office for our monthly board meeting postings!
We work with the HR and Benefits Department for onboarding new staff!
We work with the IT department on everything IT related!
To show our appreciation this month, a couple of our After School and Youth Council Members walked over to Town Hall to give MYC gifts, as a small token of gratitude!
