In February, the MYC Youth Council took time to reflect on 2025, celebrating their accomplishments and setting goals for 2026. They also planned upcoming community outreach initiatives.
For February, the MYC Youth Council collected gently used sheets and blankets for our primate friends at Southwick Zoo.
In addition, the Youth Council planned a second outreach effort in collaboration with the Milford Town Library and the Milford Girl Scouts. Together, they created Valentine’s cards as part of the “Send Love to a Senior” card collection. We were happy to be part of this project. MYC Youth Council focused on preparing for these outreach projects and we are excited for the opportunity to connect with members of the community in the months ahead!
The MYC Youth Council needs your help! During the month of March, we will be collecting new undergarments and socks! All items donated to the Center will be brought to the Sacred Heart Parish in Milford. They have an ongoing collection in which they provide these essentials to those in need. There will also be a collection box located in the lobby of the Milford Youth Center, located at 24 Pearl Street!
We do not allow adults into the Center during the After School Program, but we will allow people to drop off donations in the lobby and during our morning and evening programs—only during operational hours! Please call the Center at 508-473-1756 in advance of dropping off, or if you have any questions, any questions.
