The MYC Youth Council has been busy!
In the last two months, the Youth Council has worked together to make Halloween cards for the Seniors of the Senior Center, which were distributed to Meals on Wheels recipients. A group of Youth Council members walked in the Veterans Day Parade, two of which, Addy and Justin, read the names of several of the veterans who served. They also planned for the Craft Fair, which was held at the Milford High School, where they took turns volunteering their time at the MYC table, explaining all the amazing things we do at the MYC and helped those who wished to make a free craft.

The MYC Youth Council ongoing project will begin in December. They will work together with the Parks Department to make “no littering” slogans that could potentially be used around the town! They will invite non-Youth Council members to participate in this project as well.
If your child is interested in joining the MYC Youth Council, it’s not too late; email the Program Coordinator, Joanna Abrantes, at jabrantes@milfordma.gov.
We are so proud of the work the Youth Council has done so far and we can’t wait to see what happens next!
