Over 125 Youth Attended MYC Annual Thanksgiving!

Thank you to our amazing community who supported this event!

On behalf of the MYC staff and Youth Commission, we would like to express how grateful we are to all the companies, families and individuals who made our Thanksgiving meal for the kids a huge success on Tuesday, November 26th! We were able to serve over 125 kids, along with over 60 special guests, volunteers and staff a hot meal as well as donate leftovers to the Milford Fire Department and the Police Department

Thank you to Barbell 88 of Mendon for donating $500 (purchased penne vodka, meatballs and grilled beef tips from Restaurant 89, who also donated a tray of penne vodka), to New Human for donating $450 (purchased turkey, vegetable medley, and penne with vegetables), to Cornerstone of Milford for donating a $100 gift card (purchased Italian and veggie subs), and finally, thank you to Sandra Baldi for donating $50 (purchased gluten free desserts).

Thank you to Pizza Chef Milford , Prezo Grille and BarGarden Pizza, Oliva’s Market, Catering & Gourmet Gifts, Gene’s Variety, Casa Brazil, Milford Pizza Palace,  Red Heat Tavern of Milford, Rail Trail Flatbread Co., Great Taste, for each donating a main course or more than one side dish each for our meal. Thank you to  Whole Foods Market of Bellingham for donating 5 hams, an abundance of desserts, and dinner rolls! Thank you to Lisa Capuzziello for donating 2 pies, and James Brevigleiri for donating several blueberry pies!  Thank you to Youth Council members and their guardians, Kris and Kathryn, Anthony and Lisa and Kalib and Bill for donating desserts. Thank you to Ken Rosa and Cindy Stulac for donating waters and juice boxes! Thank you to Matthew Fitzgerald, of New England Food, for donating several pumpkin pies and whipped cream! Thank you to Alexandra McDaniel for donating an assortment of mini cupcakes! Thank you to Susan Dykoff and Judy Tusino for making and donating desserts. Thank you to Thanks to Yanks and Mike Shain for donating assorted chips. Thank you to Carla Tuttle and the Milford Food Service Department for supplying utensils and trays for the event!

Thank you to our Board Members, Darlene & John Dulude, Christine Crean, William Farrell, Martin Montoya and Gail Jussaume for volunteering to help during the event! Thank you to Dominique and Chase, of  Milford TV, for taking the time to come and film the event, interview staff and children and for helping us to create a lasting memory! A big thanks to, Michelle Huynh and Toni Travaglini, of ERA Key Realty Services for their amazing help again this year helping serve the food! Thank you to Leah Martel and Kristine Millner, of Cornerstone of Milford, for volunteering to serve food! Thank you to Judy Tusino, Dalton Ionson, Donna Lanciault, Earl Wilson, Sierra Moon, Pam Goldman, and Alyssa Lovejoy for volunteering to serve during the event. Thank you to David Abrantes and Allyson Stienstra for volunteering to serve, helping during the event and clean up! Thank you to Hannah Eckstrom and Jurnee Dunn from the Milford Town Library for running a craft table and to Phyllis Foley, Patsy Timmons and Dee Burley, of Greenleaf Gardening, for donating supplies and running a “Three Sisters” fall themed craft! Thank you to Susan Dunshee, of Ascend Hospice, for supplying craft supplies for the children to make crafts during the event for patients in Hospice care. Thank you to Nadine Grella for supplying seashells that the youth decorated for gifts to children in foster care. Finally, thank you to Mike Shain, of Thanks to Yanks, for volunteering to run a craft table for the children to make holiday and thank you cards to retired veterans and active soldiers.
