It is so awesome to see the YouthWorks program up and running for the fourth year in a row! The Youth Center received a $40,000 contract from the State to run an income-eligible employment program. This program is supported by the Commonwealth Corporation under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts YouthWorks Program and MassHire Central Career Center. Through this program, the Center oversaw 12 youth employees at 4 worksites, including: Milford Youth Center, Nutriforia, Double Bubble Laundromat, and We All Hoop, allowing additional help at each location at no cost to their individual departments and/or businesses.
Once again, we would like to thank the multiple organizations, listed above, for this opportunity. We would also like to give a HUGE shoutout to our team who have worked so hard to get this program up and running and successful: Sam Bonvino, Maddy Bonvino, Josh Connolly, Emily Stienstra and Jen Ward! We would also like to thank the Town Finance Department, Benefits Department and to Ron Auger and MassHire Central for conducting CPR lessons for all participants!
