The Youth Center would like to extend a very appreciative thank you to the following list who donated items and/or their time this month to the Center:
- Thank you to all of the individuals, businesses and organizations who has donated monetary and/or raffle items to our 14th Annual Fundraiser;
- The Hockomock YMCA and United Way of Tri County for donating backpacks for our campers;
- Haven Beauty Salon for raising $2,500 for Youth Center programming;
- Timothy O’Brien for donating 4 Patriots pre-season tickets to campers;
- Shaw’s Supermarket of Milford for selecting the MYC to be a part of the Shaw’s GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program for the month of August;
- Tim Samalis for donating a brand-new basketball hoop for the Center to use for fundraising;
- Sam and the team from Milford Town Library for having MYC campers at the library and for coming to the Center to run educational and fun activities;
- Nydam Landscaping and Mike Volpe for keeping our front entrance looking great;
- New England Chapel (NEC) for selecting the Center as one of their sites for their New England Chapel Serve Day! Volunteers helped paint the front wall of our stage;
- Jack and Jane Casey for donating $100 for their friends milestone anniversaries;
- YouthWorks for the opportunity to employee youth during their full-year program;
- Hockomock Area YMCA for continuing to offer their Mobile Food Truck to our participants once/month;
- Milford Food Service Program, SFSP and the Hockomock YMCA for providing breakfast and lunch to our summer campers;
- MyFM 101.3 and Ray Auger for having Jen on to promote monthly events and programs;
- Al Corriea and Milford TV for having us on the show;
- Phyllis Foley for donating her time to help the youth plant and care for our sensory and vegetable gardens;
- Maddie Moon, Chelle Pitts and Andrew Moon for coming in and painting the front of the stage in the gym;
- Volunteers/Outside Services: Angie Sarmiento and Sarah Schorn for helping with summer camp; Phyllis Foley and Susan Dykhoff for running gardening programs for campers; Cheryl and Luke Kay for helping organize the crafts from summer camp; and for all our Board Members for meeting monthly to help oversee this amazing asset to the community!
