We cannot believe that summer camp is over! Campers enjoyed an action pack filled summer with our awesome staff and volunteers! Campers also have the opportunity to enjoy free breakfast and lunch due collaboration of SFSP, Hockomock Area YMCA and the Milford School Food & Nutrition Services department. Check out all the fun stuff we have done over the last three weeks!
Week 4 was Spy Week! Despite the rainy weather, the campers still had a blast attending the MYC Spy Academy, where they learned different spy skills and solved various challenges! Once the weather cleared up campers enjoyed Mendon Town beach on Tuesday and Fino pool on Wednesday! They also made puzzles for their craft! Our big trip for the week was Canobie Lake Park, the campers had a blast on the Xtreme Frisbee and the Boston tea Party rides! Friday started off at Milford Town library where they did various fun activities with the librarians! The kids also got to watch SPY Kids which matched with our “Dress as a Super Sky’ theme day! Our campers of the week were Miguel and Romeo and our counselors of the week were Antoniyo and Chloee!
Week 5 was themed Space Week! Campers met with Hannah from Milford Town library to check in on their passport project on Monday, and they also enjoyed Fino pool! Tuesday was filled with lots of fun and laughter at Mendon Town Beach! On Wednesday, campers made fun scratch space crafts and colored in their own spaces ships in the morning and cooled off in Fino pool that 
afternoon! Boston Museum of Science was next! The kids explored the museum and learned all about dinosaurs, electricity, gravity, weather and so much more! Friday was dress as and alien day at the campers enjoyed watching the movie ‘Home.’ Some campers also participated in a gardening activity led by long time volunteers, Phyllis and Susan! Fresh from the MYC garden, that Phyllis helped to plant, they picked tomatoes and cucumbers and made a delicious salsa! Our camper of the week was Hunter and our counselors were Maddy, Jake and Jason!
The last week of Camp was Color Wars! This is a fun filled week with team competitions! Campers are split up into 6 groups, identified by color, these groups compete against each other through a series of fun challenges throughout the week! For their first team challenge, they had to plan out their team banners, using only their one team color! After lunch, they all headed to Fino pool to swim! On Tuesday, the camp made their last trip to Mendon Town Beach for our summer camp program! The campers had a great time 
swimming, jumping off the dock, playing sports, and hanging out on the swing set! The most important activity of the day was that Color Wars teams built sandcastles to earn points for their team! On Wednesday campers decorated bandanas for the scavenger hunt! They also played some Minute to Win It games to help earn points for their team 
and went to Fino pool! Thursday was the annual Scavenger Hunt for our Color Wars competition, for this activity campers and counselors find different hints and landmarks around town! They also played more Minute to Win it games, Team Family Feud, and Nerf Targets! After a long day campers had the opportunity to have snow cones! Congratulations to Team Black for winning the entire event! We also announced our campers of the week Kalib and Luke and our counselors Miguel and Lauren! Our final day of camp came on fast, both campers and staff enjoyed a sunny day at Onset beach! We even had volunteers Phyllis and Sarah join us! We would also like to thank the Hockomock Area YMCA for lending us some lifeguards for the day!
