Monthly Gratification Post: Milford School’s Food Service Department

Each month we thank an individual, business and/or organization who supports our efforts! This month’s gratification post is to the Milford School’s Food Service Department!

This amazing team at Milford High School organizes, prepares and delivers free snacks and dinners during our after-school program and breakfast and lunches during our summer camp program. MYC staff and volunteers then package the dinners into brown paper bags to be passed out during our programs!

These lunches, dinners and snacks are completely free of charge to registered members of the MYC, due to the collaboration of CACFP and the Hockomock Area YMCA. During our 6-week summer camp program, the Center passed out 423 breakfasts and 882 lunches! They also accommodate those with specific gluten and or dairy allergies which is a tremendous help and relief to the children’s parents and guardians.

Thank you to Carla and her team at the Food Service Department for being such an amazing part of our community and we are so thankful for all that they do!
