On behalf of the MYC staff and Youth Commission, we would like to express how grateful we are for all the companies, families and individuals who made our Thanksgiving meal for the kids a huge success on Tuesday, November 21st! We were able to serve 130 kids, along with over 50 special guests, volunteers and staff a hot meal as well as donate leftovers to the Milford Fire Department and the Police Department! Thank you to our Board Members, Darlene & John Dulude and Stacy Darling for donating turkeys and volunteering at the event! Thank you to Board Member, William Farrell for helping to serve the food and to Ariea Bryan, Board Member, for donating pies and waters. Thank you to Lisa Capuzziello for donating a pie, Silvia Goncalves for donating cupcakes, James Brevigleiri for donating mini lemon and blueberry pies, Youth Council members, Kris, Madalyn and Cassidy for donating drinks and Miguel for donating pies. Thank you to Susan Dykoff, Judy Tusino, Gail Jussaume for making and donating desserts. Thank you to Carla Tuttle and the Milford Food Service Department for supplying condiments and trays for the event and to Wendy’s of Milford for donating coupon booklets which were given to each child who attended the dinner!
We would like to thank the following individuals and businesses for monetary donations and gift cards: barbell_88 ($1,088), New Human ($750), Cornerstone at Milford ($100), Thai Pepper ($50), Judy Tusino ($50) and Shaw’s ($25). These donations allowed us to get supplies we needed to serve the meal, more desserts and additional food from Restaurant 89, Nelly’s Sandwich Shop and Olivias!
Thank you to Milford TV for taking the time to come and film the event, interview staff and children and for helping us to create a lasting memory! A big thanks to Donna Arthur, Linda Abrams, Michelle Huynh, Toni Travaglini, David Glasberg, Jocelyne Picard-Fauerbach, of ERA Key Realty Services for their amazing help again this year helping serve the food! A big thanks to volunteer, Gail Jussaume for making calls and collecting donations and for serving desserts with volunteer, Judy Tusino.
