Friday Fright Night Fundraiser at the MYC was a Blast!

The Milford Youth Center would like to thank the hundreds of people who attended our Friday Fright Night Fundraiser on Friday, October 28th, 2022, and the over 30 volunteers who helped make it happen! This was the first time hosting the event since COVID and the community was able to enjoy lots of activities along with food, drinks, and candy! The Center is excited to announce that we raised just over $1,400 to support the programming at the Center! Some of the activities included DJ Ron Auger, costume contest, jumpies, pumpkin decorating, face painting, a zombie obstacle course, and a Haunted Maze!

We would like to thank the Milford Police Department for sending a detail and to the Milford Fire Department for making sure that our Haunted Maze was safe and for bringing Sparky to our event! A big thank you to our community partners and vendors including the Milford Police Department’s School Resource Officer Anthony Bavosi; The Greenleaf Gardening Club’s, Phyllis, Sue-Ellen, and Susan; The Milford Town Library’s, Samantha Cesario; Olympus Training Labs, Brian Roberts, and Noah Amatucci for the Army National Guard for having tables at the event! Thank you to Goldfish Swim School for providing Goldfish treat bags to the first 100 attendees!

A huge thank you to Jay Vaz and John Dulude who helped us tremendously in our efforts to make a safe and fun maze for this event, and for helping break it down afterwards! Jay and John even got into the acting spirit to play two of the biggest roles in our haunt. We are so thankful for BVT, Nipmuc, and Milford High School for connecting us to students, Megan Roe, Mikayla Sanosi, Charlotte St.Pierre, Emily Saraidarian, Viviane Almedia, Ana Partin-Joseph, Yamileth Ureta, and Ana Jimenez!

Thank you to our Board Members, Darlene Dulude and Sandra Caproni for running the front table for the event, and Christine Crean for helping us set up prior to the event! Thank you to Judy Tusino and Gail Jussaume for running our snack zone! Thank you to volunteers, Ally Stienstra, David Abrantes, Evander Abrantes, Ben Abrantes, Joe Graziano, Dalton Ionson, Tyler Litchfield, Jaxon Neives, Kylie Osnoe, Earl Wilson, Ricky and Josh Gagnon, and Catherine Lung for making our haunt extremely scary! Thank you, Denise Costigan, Cheryl Stienstra, Ellie Pavia, for helping with our craft tables and activities! Finally, we would like to thank all of our staff who helped set up, run the event and clean up!

We would also like to thank everyone who promoted our event including, myFM101.3 and Ray Auger, who invited Jen to come in prior to the event to promote, and Milford Public Schools for allowing us to do outreach!
