MYC Event at CraftRoots!

We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting a smaller event to continue the traditions of our annual St. Pat’s Fundraiser that we have had to cancel the last two years. What would be our 11th Annual event, will now be celebrated on Friday, September 17th from 6-9 PM at CraftRoots Brewing which is located at 4 Industrial Rd., in Milford!
The event will include raffles, live music from Heather Deary Acoustic food from The Caribbean Press food truck and our annual Community Appreciation awards! We will also be honoring tickets purchased from our canceled 2020 fundraiser!
We are so excited to announce one of the two recipients of the 2021 MYC Community Appreciation Awards (second award will be announced at event) to New Human. New Human – Online Fitness Platform is a fitness business, created in 2019 by Milford Alum Michael Soares, whose mission is to help people live healthier & happier lives, all while helping others as well! Mike, along with Aaron Anniballi and Dimitry Torres, all past Youth Center members in their middle school years, put together a fundraiser to give back to a place that they grew up going to this past February, raising $7,000! New Human continue to support the Center and the community to help give back and support healthy living!
We would appreciate and be so grateful for your support to make this event a success by considering attending, donating, and/or contributing a raffle prize. All proceeds of the event go towards the free physical fitness and educational programs of the Center, that we are so excited to be opening up this year again, after a year and half hiatus due to the pandemic. To thank you for your contribution we will publicly recognize your business/organization at the event, in our monthly newsletter, social media and the newspapers. If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to donate, please click here: https://milfordyouthcenter.org/donate/
Events and fundraisers like this, help staff continue to work towards our mission, which is to provide a safe environment that promotes self-esteem, builds character, and fosters the notion of community and the importance of respecting and serving others. By providing Milford youth with programs and a safe environment during the after-school hours and during our monthly events, we hope to address adolescent risk factors as well as promote the partnership among community members to ensure a comprehensive vision and plan for the health of the youth in the town of Milford.
We have now been in our renovated facility for over 5 years and have seen the attendance, programs and events flourish! We had just under 700 registered After School members for the last full school year alone, and we believe that number will continue to grow each year! We see hundreds more throughout the week through our additional programs and rentals. Thank you in advance for your contribution and support!
