On June 20th, MYC staff accompanied Marissa at her AmeriCorps graduation at Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester! Marissa is almost done with her 1,700 hours of service for the Youth Center. We are so proud of her accomplishments over the year with running the Youth Leadership Council and the many other tasks she has completed for the Center!
Marissa will be continuing on with us for Summer Camp but then will start college in the Fall! We wish her good luck and we are excited to have two new AmeriCorps members in the Fall. If you know
someone who maybe interested in these positions, click here.
After the graduation, MYC staff joined other volunteers at Cradle to Crayons, Cradles for Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities. Thank you to all those who donated to our MYC collection over the last couple weeks!
