For the fourth year in a row, the YMCA and the Milford Area Humanitarian Coalition, in collaboration with Milford Public Schools Food Services, will operate a summer meal program in the community of Milford known as our Milford Summer Lunch Program.
The program begins Monday, June 17th at Memorial Elementary School (12 Walnut Street) and will offer a free lunch to any child (under the age of 18) and their family. Lunch will be prepared and offered every day, Monday through Friday through August 23rd between the hours of 11:30am and 1:00pm. We also have fun, interactive activities and games for all to enjoy during the mealtime.
At the Milford Public Library (80 Spruce St.), a free lunch will be offered on Tuesday, July 16th between the hours of 11:00am and 1:00pm. Please visit the Library or Library website for more information.
This initiative last year served over 14,516 meals to children and families in the greater Milford region and provided fun, interactive activities after lunch for the community to come together. Through this program, over 2,110 hours were contributed by volunteers of all ages!
